Rafting season: Ganga rafting in Rishikesh runs from roughly September to June. It is suspended during the monsoon (July–August) when the river is in spate, and can pause briefly after heavy rain.

Safety & guides: All adventure activities use certified guides, life jackets and helmets. You do not need to be a strong swimmer for rafting, but being comfortable in water helps.
