About this Spiritual Tour

The twin holy towns on the Ganga, in one easy trip

The perfect short spiritual getaway. This 3-day trip covers the two most sacred towns on the upper Ganga — Haridwar, with the famous evening Ganga aarti at Har Ki Pauri and the hilltop shrines of Mansa and Chandi Devi, and Rishikesh, the "yoga capital of the world" with its ghats, ashrams and iconic suspension bridges.

You stay in comfortable hotels, travel by private vehicle, and we time your evenings for the aartis. A calm, soul-soothing introduction to the Dev Bhoomi.

Important Notes

🌡️

Best time: Haridwar and Rishikesh are year-round destinations. October to March is the most pleasant; summers are warm, and the July–August monsoon brings a fuller Ganga (with a pause in rafting).

🔥

Ganga aarti: The evening Ganga aarti at Har Ki Pauri (Haridwar) and Triveni Ghat / Parmarth Niketan (Rishikesh) is the highlight — timings shift with sunset and season, and we plan the day around them.

🕋️

Temple etiquette: Dress modestly for temples and ashrams. Some shrines such as Mansa Devi and Chandi Devi are reached by a ropeway or a short uphill walk.

🚼

Around the ghats: The ghats and ashrams are compact and walkable. Alcohol and non-vegetarian food are restricted in much of Haridwar and Rishikesh, which are pilgrim towns.

Everything you need to know before you book

They are only about 25 km apart, roughly a 45-minute to 1-hour drive, which is why they combine so easily into one short trip.

The main evening aarti is held around sunset (roughly 6–7 pm, earlier in winter). Timings shift with the season, and we plan your evening around it.

Both hilltop temples are reached by a ropeway (cable car), so there is no long climb. The ropeway tickets are payable locally.

Yes — it is gentle, with short walks and ropeways for the hill temples. Tell us of any mobility needs and we will keep the pace comfortable.

Both are pilgrim towns where meat and alcohol are largely restricted, so dining is predominantly pure vegetarian, with plenty of good options.

October to March is the most pleasant. Summers are warm; the monsoon (July–August) brings a fuller, faster Ganga and heavier crowds around festivals.

Yes — in the rafting season (roughly September to June) we can add a Ganga rafting session in Rishikesh. Just ask when booking.

Typically a night in each, or both in one base depending on your preference. We choose comfortable hotels close to the ghats.
