About this Bike Expedition

The Ladakh ride every motorcyclist dreams about

Riding a Royal Enfield across Ladakh is a rite of passage — and this expedition packs the best of it into a week. From Leh you climb over the legendary Khardung La into Nubra, ride the wild Shyok route to Pangong Lake, and return over Chang La.

A mechanic rides with the group and a backup vehicle follows with luggage, spares and space for anyone who needs a break. We build in a rest day and an acclimatisation ride, arrange all permits, and carry oxygen — so you can focus on the road.

Best for confident riders; pillions are welcome, and non-riding friends can follow in the backup vehicle. Pricing depends on your bike, group size and rider mix, so we quote on request.

Day-by-Day Itinerary

Seven days on two wheels through Ladakh

  • Arrive at Leh airport; transfer to the hotel and rest to adjust to the altitude.
  • Evening bike allotment and briefing — bikes checked, routes and safety explained.
  • Dinner and overnight in Leh.
💡 Pro Tip: No riding today — rest and hydrate. Altitude hits harder on a bike if you skip acclimatisation.
  • An easy shakedown ride along the Sham Valley — Magnetic Hill, Gurudwara Pathar Sahib and the Indus–Zanskar Sangam.
  • Get a feel for your bike and the mountain roads at a lower, safer altitude.
  • Back to Leh; dinner and overnight.
🌟 Note: Use today to sort your riding position, luggage straps and layering before the big passes.
  • Ride up to Khardung La (~18,380 ft) — one of the great motorcycling moments in India.
  • Descend into Nubra; visit Diskit Monastery and the Hunder dunes.
  • A sunset camel ride if you're up for it; dinner and overnight in Nubra.
💡 Pro Tip: The road surface at the top can be broken and slushy — ride steady, stay in a low gear and don't rush the descent.
  • Ride the rugged Shyok river route directly from Nubra to Pangong — remote and spectacular.
  • Reach Pangong in the afternoon; park up and soak in the colours.
  • Bonfire and stars at the lakeside camp; dinner and overnight.
🌟 Note: The Shyok route has water crossings and loose sections — ride within your limits and follow the lead rider's line.
  • Catch the Pangong sunrise, then ride back towards Leh over Chang La.
  • Stop at Thiksey or Shey monastery along the Indus.
  • Arrive Leh by evening; celebratory dinner and overnight.
💡 Pro Tip: It's a long riding day — leave early, take regular breaks and keep hydrated on the descent.
  • A built-in spare day — vital insurance against a weather delay or pass closure earlier in the trip.
  • If all's gone to plan, ride out to the Sangam or relax in Leh's cafés and markets.
  • Dinner and overnight in Leh.
🌟 Note: This buffer day is why we don't get stranded — Ladakh's passes can shut without warning, and this keeps your flight safe.
  • Return the bike, and after breakfast transfer to Leh airport for your onward flight.
  • Ride of a lifetime, done — high passes ticked off the bucket list.
💡 Pro Tip: Leh flights leave early and can be weather-affected — keep onward connections loose.
