Important Notes
Please read before booking
Best Time: March–June is pleasant and green; December–February brings snow to Shimla, Manali and Kufri; July–September sees monsoon showers and occasional landslides.
How to Reach: The trip is by road in a private vehicle. Most itineraries start from Chandigarh or Delhi; the nearest airports are Chandigarh, Kullu (Bhuntar) and Gaggal (Dharamshala).
Hill Roads: Himachal''s mountain roads are winding and slower than plains. We plan realistic drive times and use experienced local drivers.
Money & Network: Carry some cash for smaller towns; ATMs are in main towns. Mobile network is good in cities and patchy in remote valleys.
Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know before you book
Vibrant, well-reviewed backpacker hostels (with dorm or private-room options) in Kasol, Tosh, Manali and Jibhi, plus tented camping at Kheerganga. They are social, budget-friendly and central to the backpacker vibe.
Perfectly - it is built around Himachal's most social backpacker spots and hostel culture, so solo travellers easily meet others. It is safe, fun and a great way to travel with a ready-made crew.
No - the Kheerganga trek is beginner-friendly (about 4-5 hours uphill). Basic fitness and good shoes are enough, and a trek leader accompanies the group to the hot-spring camp.
Yes - the base package uses dorms for the best value and social vibe, but you can upgrade to private hostel rooms. Just tell us your preference and we will price it accordingly.
Most backpackers take an overnight Volvo from Delhi to Bhuntar/Kasol. You can also fly to Kullu-Bhuntar. We arrange the connection and share the meeting details.
Jibhi is the offbeat, peaceful counterpoint to buzzing Kasol and Manali - forests, waterfalls, wooden cottages and Jalori Pass. It gives the trip a quiet, nature-focused finish.
It is especially popular with 20s-30s backpackers, but anyone with a laid-back, social mindset and reasonable fitness will love it. If you prefer comfort over hostels, we have other Himachal packages.
March to June is ideal, with open trails and lively cafes. The Kheerganga trek closes in deep winter snow, and monsoon (July-August) can make trails and roads tricky.
